On November 9, 1896, the local company Moravské Budějovice-Jemnice opened a line from Moravské Budějovice, which since 1871 passed the line of the Austrian Northwest Railway (ÖNWB), which mainly connected Vienna and Berlin. The newly built station in Jemnice was created here as a terminus station according to a standardized building model.
